BIO:

Steve Larson grew up and has lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He developed an interest in photography as a child and has been involved in different areas of photography his entire adult life. Steve now has a portrait studio in downtown Kansas City, KS and he does various types of photography on location.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

I think photography is both an art and a craft. I like photographing people, both portraits and activities they are involved in. I also enjoy photograph-ing scenes and objects, natural - landscapes, weather, the four seasons, and man-made - buildings, monuments, vehicles. I try to make well-crafted, interesting images, using the various tools and techniques of photography, to capture the essence of or an unusual view of the subject I'm photographing.
